Tottenham’s transfer target is having a hard time deciding his next move

Spurs have been linked with a move for Chelsea’s Antonio Rudiger in this transfer window and the German is having a hard time deciding what to do next, according to Sun Sport.

This is because he has been linked with a loan move to the Tottenham Stadium but he might have to sign a new Chelsea deal before he seals any move away from the club.

The Blues are famous for loaning out most of their players, but before they do that, they ensure that the player signs a new and improved deal and the team taking them on loan covers all their wages.

The 27-year-old German has fallen out of favour with Frank Lampard who seems to want to build his defence around Brazilian defender, Thiago Silva.

Rudiger will want to leave to get more playing time, but signing a new deal at a team where he knows that he is no longer a guaranteed starter might not be smart.

Spurs need to sign a new centre back in this transfer window. Their top target is Milan Skriniar, but as they struggle to agree a deal with Inter for his signature, Rudiger has emerged as a very accessible option for them.

Spurs and Chelsea hardly exchange players, it will be interesting to see if the Blues will agree to allow the German centre –back to move to Jose Mourinho’s side.
