Tottenham could cancel unwanted man’s contract this month

Tottenham is considering the cancellation of Danny Rose’s contract, according to reports.

Rose fell out with José Mourinho last season, and it cost him his place in the Tottenham squad.

He joined the club in 2007 and is currently the longest-serving player on their wage bill.

Having sent him out on loan to Newcastle at the second half of last season, the Lilywhites were hoping to cash in on him in the last summer transfer window.

No new suitors came in for him, and he stayed put. He was, however, axed from the first team and wasn’t even given a number for this campaign.

He hasn’t even trained with the first team this season, and this month offers him the chance to find a new home.

Talksport via Sun Sports is now claiming that Tottenham might cancel his contract so that he can join West Brom this month.

Transfer expert Alex Crook said as quoted by Sun Sport: “I was told there was a big chance he could follow Jack Wilshere in the sense that Tottenham could cancel his contract in this window.

“We know he’s not part of Jose Mourinho’s plans.

“West Brom and Sam Allardyce would be very keen to take him to the Hawthorns – whether he would see that as the right club to revive his career, I don’t know.”
