“Time for the manager to move him on” pundit on out of favour Tottenham star

Paul Konchesky agrees that Dele Alli can be a very brilliant player on his day, but the Englishman will struggle to break into this Tottenham team at the moment.

Alli has fallen down the pecking order in dramatic fashion this season and with Tottenham now gaining momentum in the title race and other competitions, it is hard to see him getting into the team.

On three occasions, he has been trusted to start a game, but his poor performance has seen him get hauled off at half time.

Konchesky, who spent 2003 at Tottenham on loan from Charlton Athletic, claims that Tottenham now has a lot of strength in depth and that will make it hard for Alli to get in the team.

He adds that even though Alli can be a brilliant player, now is the time for him to be moved on.

“Spurs’ strength in depth is second to none now, and I think it’s time for the manager to move him on,” Konchesky told Caughtoffside.

“On his day he’s unbelievable, but he won’t get in the Tottenham team now.”

Alli was linked with a move to PSG in the last transfer window, Spurs refused to sell him, but now that he has become surplus to requirements, maybe the Lilywhites will listen to offers for him.
