Tim Sherwood makes a very bold claim over Hugo Lloris and Son Heung-min bust up

One of the highlights of Tottenham’s game against Everton was the bust-up between Hugo Lloris and Heung Min Son.

The pair clashed at half time as Lloris raced to his Korean teammate to shout at him for failing to track back.

They both made up later and they were seen hugging each other at full time.

Jose Mourinho also seemed to enjoy the act and called it “beautiful” after the game. However, former Spurs manager Tim Sherwood was less than impressed and he has accused the Spurs goalie of a premeditated attack that was done for the show of it.

He reckoned that Lloris, who is normally a quiet character, may have done that for show and said that the right thing would have been to confront Son in the dressing room instead.

Sherwood said as quoted by Mirror Sports: “Do it in the dressing room. I wouldn’t do it for the show.

“I think he’s done it for the show there. It’s very out of character for Hugo, he hardly says a word!

“He’s wearing the armband for his performances and he’s captain for France too, where he won the World Cup. He’s a very good goalkeeper but very level-headed [normally]. This is totally out of character.

“They do care [ Tottenham ’s squad], I’m sure they care – there’s not a player there that doesn’t care. But a premeditated little scuffle on the pitch? It’s not my cup of tea. It should be left for the dressing room.

Spurs did win the game thanks to a solitary goal and their hopes of playing in the Champions League next season is in tact, albeit very slim.

“If they’re going to have a fight then have a fight. Not putting someone in between them. It was like a big act.

“I’ve been in games where there has been fights but the red mist comes over and there’s no stopping them.

“But nobody wanted to fight there. It was premeditated in my opinion. It’s something that should be left to the dressing room.”

I have to say it looked spontaneous and real to me and I get the feeling that Sherwood is starting to turn into one of those pundits that feels the need to say something different in order to stand out from the crowd. In better words, I make him wrong on this.
