There will be no quick return to action for Gareth Bale after he signs

It is no longer news that Gareth Bale is making a sensational return to England with Tottenham.

After his brilliant first spell at the club, his return is expected to light up the Premier League once again.

The Welsh winger has fallen out of favour at the Bernabeu and a return to Spurs on loan is one way for him to get back to playing football again.

The deal is expected to be completed any moment now and finally announced by Tottenham.

However, fans who are excited to watch him play in the Premier League again might not be happy to hear that he will not be playing anytime soon.

TalkSPORT reports that the attacker will join Spurs, but he will need around a month to recover from an injury and also get into top shape before he can make his second debut for Tottenham.

Bale had been frozen out of the first team at Real Madrid and he had hardly played football for much of this year.

Speaking on Thursday morning, talkSPORT host Jim White revealed: “We know that Bale is still in Madrid, he’s at the training ground this morning, in actual fact.

“But it’s our understanding this morning that he is waiting to fly to London and, as soon as he gets the cue that it’s done, he’ll get himself here.

“However, nobody should expect Gareth Bale to turn out for Tottenham any time soon.

“It’s our understanding that when he gets here, when he signs, it will be full training for a month and then he’ll be back to full fitness.

“That makes sense, he’s nursing a knee injury and he hasn’t played regularly for months.”
