“The Tottenham solution being the most plausible” Italian journalist says Sarri wants Tottenham job

Italian journalist, Carlo Laudisa, says Maurizio Sarri is open to becoming the next Tottenham manager.

Spurs need a new head coach after they fired Jose Mourinho some weeks back.

The Lilywhites have made Ryan Mason their manager until the end of the season with the former midfielder overseeing two wins and two losses from his first four games so far.

He will be replaced by a permanent manager by the start of next season and several names have been linked.

Spurs have reportedly targeted the likes of Erik ten Hag, Brendan Rodgers and Graham Potter.

One other familiar name that has been linked is former Chelsea manager, Maurizio Sarri.

The Italian helped the Blues to win the Europa League in 2019 and won the Serie A the following year with Juventus.

He has been out of work since the Old Ladies sacked him last summer and he would jump at the chance to manage in England again.

Laudisa told Radio Punto Nuovo via Sun Sports: “Sarri could go to England.

“The Tottenham solution being the most plausible, but the Arsenal bench could also become free, as [Mikel] Arteta has missed all the Gunners’ season goals.”
