Spurs reject offers for youngster so that he can learn from Bale

One of the young players in the current Spurs set up that could suffer from the club’s summer recruitment drive is Jack Clarke.

The young Englishman joined Spurs from Leeds United last summer and he was sent back to Elland Road to complete last season with the Whites.

His loan spell in the first half of the season was unsuccessful and he was recalled and sent out on loan again to QPR in the second half of the campaign, where he still struggled.

He faces an uphill task to be a part of the Tottenham team this season and he will probably benefit more from another loan spell away from the club.

However, Football London is claiming that Tottenham has turned down offers from Championship teams to take him on loan for the rest of this season.

This is because the club wants him to train and develop alongside their top stars like Harry Kane and Gareth Bale.

The teenager hasn’t been away with any national team in this international break, so he has been training at the club with Bale who is also not on international duty as he recovers from his own injury.

Clarke will hope that he can impress enough to earn a few minutes of football this season and with a mentor like Bale he certainly is in a good position to step up and show us what he can do.
