Tottenham’s transfer activity always feels as if it’s on a knife-edge, but this summer is likely to be more fraught than ever.

Walker-Peters joined the Saints in January, but has made just 4 Premier League appearances; 2 starting line-ups and 2 spots on the bench, playing 207 minutes in total. The plan mooted in the press was for Spurs to set up a player plus cash type deal.
Now, Simon Jones for the Daily Mail is suggesting that Saints’ gaffer Carlo Ancelotti could be prepared to buy Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg outright, for £35million.
Whilst Hojbjerg may not be the Hollywood signing many fans might crave, he could be the missing piece of Jose Mourinho’s midfield puzzle, which is currently without a truly convincing defensive midfielder.
Tottenham’s options to raise transfer funds are limited, and sources close to the club suggest to The Boy Hotspur that Serge Aurier could be the first man out the door if a reasonable deal could be struck.
