Serie A club in talks with the agent of Pierluigi Gollini for a summer move

Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini appears to be one and done with the north London club. The 26-year-old’s loan deal expires in June, and with Spurs extending the contract with Hugo Lloris, it’s clear his future is elsewhere.

According to the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera (via LazioNews24), Serie A side Lazio is searching for a new number one goalkeeper. The report adds that the Italian club is a big fan of the 26-year-old Gollini, who is currently on loan with Tottenham from Atalanta.

Lazio continues to contact Gollini’s agent Giuseppe Riso as it’s unlikely Spurs will activate the €13 million buy option attached to Gollini’s loan. The Italian goalkeeper has made ten appearances across all competitions so far this season for Tottenham, for 900 minutes.

Gollini contract with Atalanta expires in 2023, and the loan to Spurs was an indicator that they don’t have him in their plans going forward, so Lazio could scoop up the current Tottenham goalkeeper this summer.
