Ryan Fraser Makes Unwise Decision To Try To Protect Spurs Chances | opinion

Ryan Fraser is reportedly poised to turn down an offer to see out the season with Bournemouth to protect his chances of a big summer move.

The 26-year-old winger is out of contract in June and the Daily Mail understands that the Cherries have put a short-term extension on the table.

However, the Daily Mail adds that Fraser will reject this proposal and only be available for two more Bournemouth games – against Crystal Palace and Wolves – as Eddie Howe’s side battle against Premier League relegation.

The Scotland international apparently has his heart set on a free transfer to Tottenham, and we are said to hold an interest in him but not as a priority.

A lot of players are in Fraser’s position and I can appreciate they risk scuppering a potential move if they get injured over the final nine matches.

But Bournemouth needs all of their best players available, and Fraser quite frankly needs the platform to try to convince clubs he is worth a punt after a poor season in which he has returned only one goal and four assists.
