Report: Tottenham Said To Be Pressing To Get £30M Rated Premier League Player Done

Tottenham Hotspur are putting in the hard yards in their attempts to sign Norwich City’s Max Aarons this month, according to Football Insider.

The 20-year-old has reportedly been identified as an ideal right-back for Spurs because of his speed and ability to get forward on the overlap.

This roughly matches the profile of the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Reece James who, especially the former, are excelling at top-six clubs.

Football Insider understands that Spurs are calling Aarons’ camp “every day” in an attempt to convince him to move to North London in January.

Selling one of their best players would harm Norwich’s chances of escaping relegation, but the Canaries might feel that they need to maximise Aarons’ value which will no doubt drop if they return to the Championship.

Sky Sports reports that £30m should be enough to tempt Norwich into cashing in during this window, and even Daniel Levy may stretch to that to help Jose Mourinho solve a problem position, knowing that Aarons is of an age and potential that he will probably get him money back one day.
