Report: Tottenham Hotspur revisiting its interest in Wolves star

This past summer, Tottenham Hotspur was linked to Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Adama Traore. Spurs wanted to reunite the Spain international with his old boss Nuno Espírito Santo, who went to north London.

Despite firing the Portuguese tactician a few months into the 2021-22 season, Tottenham remains interested in Traore. According to John Percy in the Telegraph, Spurs are revisiting their interest in the 25-year-old.

Furthermore, they could have Traore for a lower price than what they would have had to pay for back in the summer. The report states that Wolves are considering proposals of more than £20-million for Traore in January.

Traore is under contract until 2023, so this month might be the ideal time to sell and get the most for him rather than wait until the summer and lower their price again for him.

In 19 appearances this season, Traore has yet to score a goal or register an assist for Wolves. Nonetheless, Tottenham isn’t alone in their reported pursuit for the Wolves forward as West Ham United is also eyeing him.
