Report: Real Madrid sets the asking price for Tottenham transfer target

Tottenham Hotspur will be attempting to add another forward this summer to lessen the load on the shoulders of Harry Kane and Son Heung-min. Over the past few weeks, there have been several names connected to the north London club.

One player linked to a possible move to Spurs is Real Madrid right-winger Marco Asensio. The 26-year-old has made only two league starts since February as Rodrygo is in an impressive run with his current form.

If the Spain international is a serious target, Spanish media outlet Sport (via Football Transfers) revealed the cost. Real Madrid wants between €35-million and €40-million for clubs attempting to buy Asensio this summer.

However, with Asensio only having one more year on his deal, it will be interesting to see whether they can fetch what they want for the forward. Along with Tottenham, other Premier League clubs linked to the Real Madrid man are Arsenal and Newcastle United.

This season Asensio has appeared in 38 fixtures where he’s scored 11 goals and recorded one assist.
