Report: Hugo Lloris reaches contract extension agreement with Tottenham

When asked about the future of goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, manager Antonio Conte was always confident that the two parties would reach an agreement, and the Italian tactician ended up being right.

According to transfer window specialist Fabrizio Romano, Lloris has reached a contract extension agreement with Tottenham Hotspur. The new deal will keep the France international in north London until 2024.

Romano added no further details regarding the financial aspects of the deal. Since arriving at Tottenham in November, Conte has been content with Lloris being his starting goalkeeper.

Despite Managing Director of Football Fabio Paratici bringing in Pierluigi Gollini, Spurs appear to be heading with the veteran goalkeeper for the foreseeable future.

Lloris has made 22 appearances for Tottenham this season, where he’s registered eight clean sheets for the Premier League club. Since joining the club in 2012, the 35-year-old had made 395 appearances in all competitions, putting together 134 clean sheets.

The veteran goalkeeper will add more to his stats with Tottenham now that his contract situation is all sorted out.
