Report: Club have held a ‘meeting’ with Tottenham regarding 26-yr-old’s future

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Giovani Lo Celso was on loan at Villarreal last season and the Argentine international made quite an impression with the Spanish club.

The playmaker established himself as a key player for Unai Emery’s side and he was instrumental in their run to the Champions League semi-finals.

The player has been linked with a permanent move away from Tottenham this summer and it will be interesting to see where he ends up eventually.

There is no doubt that the Argentine is a quality player but he needs to join a club where he will get a regular run of games and that is simply not possible at Tottenham, as things stand.

Lo Celso needs to play regularly in order to cement his place in the Argentine squad ahead of the World Cup later this year and a permanent exit from Tottenham seems ideal.

According to reports via Fiorentina. It, Fiorentina are keen on providing the midfielder with an exit route this summer and the two clubs have apparently had a ‘meeting’ regarding a potential transfer.

It will be interesting to see whether the Italian outfit can agree on a deal with the Premier League side in the coming weeks and finalise the transfer.

The report adds that the Italian outfit are looking to sign the player on a loan deal with an option to buy permanently at the end of the season.
