Predicting Tottenham’s first six Premier League games

The season is about to get underway and in just over 48 hours time Spurs will welcome Man City to the Tottenham stadium for their league opener.

Spurs have been handed rather a tough opening six games but that is how the cookie crumbles and it is imperative that they get off to a flying start.

Taking each game I have gone with my own personal opinion and no doubt a lot of you will disagree and I look forward to reading your views in the comments below.

15th August Home v Man City

Sadly I do not see us getting anything from this game and there is no point in being biased and living in cloud cuckoo land. Points – 0

22nd August Away v Wolves

It is never easy to go away to Wolves but I am fairly confident that Nuno Santos will know enough about his former team to guide the lads to their first win of the season. Points – 3

29th August Home v Watford

I do not see anything other than a win, that is not disrespecting Watford but we really should be too strong for the promoted outfit. Points – 3

11th September Away v Crystal Palace

Another game that I feel we really should be winning, away games are never easy but Palace are not world beaters and I do see Spurs leaving with all the points. Points – 3

19th September Home v Chelsea

Obviously a very tricky game and one that could actually go either way and if we come away with a point it will be slightly disappointing but acceptable. Points – 1

26th September Away v Arsenal

We don’t have a great record at the Emirates and form counts for very little. Just like the Chelsea game, this one could go either way and for me, a draw would suffice. Points – 1

Conclusion

So, I am predicting 11 points from three wins, two draws and a loss. Also, I am predicting that we do not collect a win against three of the historic top-six, not sure if that is an omen or not.

But there you go, 11 points from 18, am I too optimistic or being far too pessimistic?
