Paratici likes versatile Premier League ace who is on Tottenham’s radar

Tottenham Hotspur are looking to improve their attacking options and they have identified the Leicester City winger Harvey Barnes as a potential target.

According to a report from Football London, club director Fabio Paratici likes the versatile winger and it will be interesting to see if Tottenham decide to make a move for the 25-year-old in the coming weeks.

It seems highly unlikely that the Foxes will sanction his departure midway through the season and therefore it is fair to assume that Tottenham might have to wait until the summer transfer window to sign him.

The 25-year-old has been a key player for Leicester since joining the club and he has six goals in the Premier League this season. Furthermore, he has two and a half years remaining on his current contract and the player is likely to cost a substantial amount of money.

The likes of Bryan Gil and Lucas Moura have been linked with moves away from the club in recent weeks and Conte needs to add more depth to his attacking unit.

However, Barnes is likely to demand regular first-team action if he joins the club and it will be interesting to see if Conte can give him those assurances, especially with Richarlison, Son Heung Min, and Dejan Kulusevski already at his disposal.

There is no doubt that Spurs would be a step up from Leicester and a manager like Conte could help Barnes improve further. But the 25-year-old cannot afford to sit on the bench at the London club and it remains to be seen how the situation develops.

The 25-year-old is immensely talented and he would improve Spurs if he joined the club. Recently, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp heaped praise on the player as well.

“Barnes is probably one of the biggest talents, I’m not sure if he is respected or appreciated as much as he should be, he is an unbelievable player to be honest, a proper Leicester product,” Klopp said of the Leicester star.
