Newcastle United looking at making a move for Tottenham youngster

Newcastle United are eyeing a move for Tottenham youngster Ryan Sessegnon.

The English teenager joined Spurs last summer, but he has struggled to kick on, he managed to play a handful of games under Mauricio Pochettino, but he hasn’t been able to convince Jose Mourinho.

The Lilywhites seem to have signed him for the future, however, they might have to let him go to another team temporarily so that he can continue his development.

Sun Sports claims that the Magpies manager, Steve Bruce, is looking to focus his attention on the local English market in this transfer window.

He believes that he can get some good value from the young English players currently available, and he is eyeing a move for Sessegnon.

The Magpies have seen their takeover by a new owner fail and they will now have around £30million to spend in this transfer window, which is much less than the £300million that their takeover might have brought them.

The report claims that Bruce will look to land the former Fulham wing-back on loan for the whole of next season.

A lot will depend on what Jose Mourinho wants and what plans he has for Sessegnon, I also suspect that much will also depend on what sort of transfer business is done and what positions need strengthening.
