Don Balon are reporting that Tottenham are interested in signing 19-year-old Real Betis winger Diego Lainez.
The Spanish newspaper understands that Betis value the Mexican at around £15m and would be prepared to sell as he has only started one game in La Liga for them in 2019-20.
I have little interest in us taking a chance on a kid that hasn’t made the grade at Betis, but this video compilation does paint him as a tricky winger who’d be good to watch. Watch out Dele – he clearly loves a nutmeg.
I don’t think wide options should be a priority for us, and if we do bring in another winger I’d rather them be somebody whose main asset was quality delivery over another dribbling speed-merchant.
