Latest Tanguy Ndombele transfer news takes a very interesting turn

The future of Tanguy Ndombele is set to be decided in this transfer window after he failed to make much of an impression in his first season at Tottenham.

The Lilywhites broke their transfer record to land the Frenchman from Lyon last summer to much fanfare.

A lot was expected of him when he joined, but his first season has been underwhelming and he looks set to leave after just a season with the club getting a player that Jose Mourinho admires in exchange.

Sky Sports Italy journalist Luca Marchetti reports that Inter Milan and Tottenham are currently negotiating a swap deal that will see Ndombele go the other way, while Milan Skriniar will move to north London.

He claims that the move is being pushed by Mourinho himself, who has been a long-term admirer of the defender he tried to sign when he was the manager of Manchester United.

“Skriniar is included in a negotiation at the will of Tottenham and José Mourinho,” he told Sky Sports, as relayed by inter-news.it.

“It’s the exchange with Ndombélé, who is on the margins of the Spurs project but has always liked Inter.

“Among the Nerazzurri, the exchange with Skriniar is also privileged to keep up the value of the players.

“It’s important to understand who will make up the difference between the two clubs.

“Not an easy negotiation, a possible replacement for the Slovak could be Marash Kumbulla.”

The interesting thing about this latest report is that it is Mourinho that appears to be driving this potential swap deal forward and that could be the decisive factor.
