Latest reports claim that ‘very exciting’ Spurs player wants to leave the club; move to La Liga on the cards

Tottenham Hotspur youngster Bryan Gil is reportedly interested in a move to Spain, according to the latest exit news from north London.

The Premier League’s top-four contenders, who have made a number of major signings this transfer window, are now looking to get players out as sporting director Fabio Paratici attempts to balance the books.

Spurs midfielder Giovani Lo Celso joined Villarreal on loan, while Joe Rodon (on loan to Rennes) and Steven Bergwijn have also left the club. And most recently, Tanguy Ndombele joined Napoli on loan with the option of making the move permanent.

Bryan Gil has been a name that for a long time was linked with a loan move away from Spurs but then reports suggested that Conte had a change of heart for the youngster and wanted to keep him at Spurs this season.

However, according to the latest reports, Gil himself is eying a move back to Valencia where he enjoyed a successful loan spell last season.

While little progress has been made in terms of an agreement, Spanish media have reported that the Spurs youngster is interested in a move to the Mestalla Stadium.

According to El Desmarque, the ‘very very exciting‘ youngster is prioritising a move to Valencia before the transfer deadline. The report suggests that Spurs want to capitalise on his potential loan to the club, while Valencia does not expect to pay a fee for the short-term deal, and hence both Tottenham and the La Liga club are currently at odds over a deal.

Despite Conte wanting him to stay, Gil is at a point in his career where he needs regular game time, and it’s difficult to see where that will come if he stays at Spurs with their current attacking options. Perhaps another loan move would be advantageous for the youngster.
