Latest Danny Rose update not good for him

The Northern Echo claims that Middlesbrough will not be making a move for Danny Rose this summer, as has been reported.

The Englishman has been told to leave Spurs and he hasn’t been given a squad number ahead of this campaign.

He has fallen down the pecking order at Spurs and among football players in general from being one of the best left-backs in the world.

No team has made a serious effort to try to sign him so far with Boro being the only team reported to have shown interest.

However, the report claims that while the Teessiders are expected to make some signings before the transfer window closes, they are not moving for Rose.

They have worked hard to keep their wages at a respectable level amidst the coronavirus pandemic and signing Rose will upset the structure that they have put in place.

The Englishman currently earns a Premier League wage which is above the highest earner at Boro and they don’t think he is worth breaking their wage structure for.

Rose has been training away from the Spurs’ first-team and it will remain that way unless he secures a move away and it will be interesting to see what happens to him after Friday night.
