“I’m playing for my future.” Tottenham player admits his days at Spurs are over with

The future of Danny Rose has been uncertain since he fell out with Tottenham and was sent on-loan to Newcastle United, and it seems that the Englishman is smart enough to realise that he will need to look to build his career elsewhere.

He has been playing for the Magpies after they secured his loan signing for a paltry fee and talking about his future recently, the full-back admitted that he was playing for his future at Newcastle.

In a recent game for the Magpies against Manchester City, Rose was given space to send a message in the matchday program and he didn’t hesitate to remind everyone that he knows that his days at Tottenham are probably over.

“It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to work out that my days are possibly numbered at Spurs and I’m playing for my future.” He wrote, as quoted in the Athletic.

The same report claims that he has been in touch with Jose Mourinho for some time now via text, but that doesn’t mean that he would be given another chance at the club, because he apparently doesn’t enjoy the best of relationships with Daniel Levy.

Newcastle is one team that could sign the defender at the end of his current loan deal.

The Magpies may soon be taken over by a wealthier owner and that could provide them with the funds to sign Rose if he has impressed them.

It could also be the case that Rose sits out the final year of his contract so he can demand a huge signing on fee and I suspect that is probably the route that he will take.
