And if the Denmark international is to finally leave Spurs in the coming days, then he has just signed off in style.
In need of inspiration 1-0 down at Norwich City, Eriksen stepped up to whip a trademark free-kick over the wall and past Tim Krul.
I say ‘trademark’ – this was an element of Eriksen’s game which he lost during a long dip in form which coincided with his contract uncertainty.
It was nice to see one last Eriksen free kick hit the net before he leaves.
