France star publicly opens door for January move to Tottenham

Monaco defender Axel Disasi has been linked with a move to the Premier League in the past.

The player has now admitted publicly that a move to England would be quite exciting.

According to reports via GFFN, the player was on Tottenham Hotspur’s radar not so long ago.

He said to Rothen S’enflamme: “I like England a lot. I find it a very exciting championship, so that would be my choice of division.”

It will be interesting to see if his recent comments encourage the Londoners to make a move for him in the near future.

It is no secret that Tottenham need to bring in a quality centre-back to partner Cristian Romero and Disasi could prove to be a solid acquisition.

Sports signed Clement Lenglet as a temporary option earlier this summer but they will need to bring in another centre-back at the end of this season.

The likes of Davidson Sanchez have been quite inconsistent since joining the club and Disasi could be an upgrade on the Colombian. The 24-year-old has been outstanding in the league as well as the European competitions for a while now.

It will be interesting to see if Spurs come forward with a concrete offer for the defender when the window re-opens in January.

The French outfit will probably demand a substantial fee before they sanction his departure midway through the season, given his status as a key player in the squad.

The chance to play in the Premier League can be a tempting proposition for most players and Spurs have an ambitious project at their disposal. Disasi is unlikely to turn down a move if the two clubs can come to an agreement.
