Former Tottenham star could be on his way to Arsenal

One of the worst sins a footballer can commit is playing for both Tottenham and Arsenal and Christian Eriksen might soon be forced to do that.

The Dane left Tottenham for Inter Milan for £17million last January, but that move has proven to be a bad decision from him.

He told Spurs that he needed a new challenge in a new country and they granted it to him, but he must be regretting it now.

He had enjoyed the best spell of his career in England and a return to the country might be the right decision for him, Arsenal is one team that apparently needs his services now.

The Gunners are looking for creative reinforcements this month after they axed Mesut Ozil from their squad.

They have been linked with a move for Eriksen, who at £17million is cheaper than Emi Buendia that is also their target.

Norwich will want around £40 million for the Argentinean, according to Football London.

Watford’s Sporting Director, Cristiano Giaretta has now tipped Eriksen to join them.

“Arsenal are regaining confidence. They’re walking again and Eriksen, honestly, could be of use there [at Arsenal],” he told TuttoMercato.

On the midfielder’s struggles in Italy, Giaretta added: “Every player needs trust, an opportunity. And at Inter he had few opportunities. He must feel strong, important.”

It is still hard to see Eriksen joining Arsenal, but anything is possible in football, especially when money speaks.
