Fabrizio Romano claims Paratici has pulled a major ‘bargain’ at Tottenham

Fabrizio Romano believes new signing Destiny Udogie will prove himself to be a ‘bargain’ for Tottenham.

Spurs signed seven players during the summer transfer window, including Udogie. Fabio Paratici negotiated a £20 million deal for him before loaning him back to Udinese for the rest of the season.

And the Italian journalist is convinced that the money Spurs paid for him will ultimately prove to be a bargain for the North London club.

In the latest video on Youtube, he said:

“Remember the name – Destiny Udogie. Tottenham decided to invest on him, €19 million plus add-ons and I’m sure this money will look like a bargain in a few years.”

The 19-year-old has two goals and an assist in 11 Serie A appearances this season, which is a decent return for a full-back.

Spurs have enough options on the left side with players like Ivan Perisic and Ryan Sessegnon. And, because Udogie will not be playing for Conte before these options, Spurs made the correct decision to loan him back.

It will give the player valuable experience and allow him to continue his development as he prepares for the Premier League next season.

Udogie last month in an interview with La Repubblica admitted that he hasn’t yet spoken with his new manager while also claiming that the Italian league will help him develop. He said:

“Serie A helps you grow. The months I have left here on loan at Udine will be important to improve further. With my focus, I’m here now. I still haven’t heard from Antonio Conte. The Premier League, however, doesn’t scare me. The game is fantastic, and I’ve always spoken English at home with my parents, who were born in Nigeria.”
