A recently surfaced video has ignited speculation about Brentford striker Bryan Mbeumo potentially moving to Tottenham Hotspur, after an interesting interaction with a Spurs fans.

As reported by Football London, Mbeumo may have hinted at a possible move to Spurs after an interaction with fans during Brentford’s pre-season friendly against AFC Wimbledon in July.

The video shows Mbeumo responding with a smile and a casual “maybe” after fans called for him to join Tottenham. This small exchange has now sparked suggestions that the player would be inclined to the idea of a possible transfer to Tottenham, either in the January window or next summer.

The Cameroonian international has been in fine form this season, stepping up as a key player following Ivan Toney’s departure.

Mbeumo has already netted six goals in seven league matches, earning a nomination for the Premier League Player of the Month award.

He has previously expressed his openness to join another Premier League club, with Arsenal one of the clubs linked with him. But his comments from pre-season suggests he would be open to a move to Tottenham as well if they were to show interest.

Bryan Mbeumo’s impressive numbers at Brentford

Since joining Brentford in 2019 for a club-record fee of £5.8 million, Mbeumo has made over 200 appearances, contributing 56 goals and 42 assists. His current contract runs until 2026, and his market value is estimated at around €40 million, meaning that any club, including Tottenham, would likely face competition to secure his signature.

Should Tottenham pursue Mbeumo, his arrival would add depth and quality to Ange Postecoglou’s attacking lineup. Known for his pace, creativity, and goal-scoring ability, the 25-year-old would be a valuable asset in Spurs’ bid to strengthen their squad and push for European qualification. While nothing concrete has been confirmed, Mbeumo’s previous interaction with Spurs fans has certainly fuelled speculation about his future.

Tottenham are linked with another striker, despite having signed Dominic Solanke for a significant fee from Bournemouth in the summer.

Richarlison is expected to leave the club and Spurs have been linked with several strikers including Lille’s Jonathan David.

There have no concrete links with Mbeumo as yet, but if he continues his current form, it will not be long before he starts to catch the attention of clubs like Tottenham.
