Bored Tottenham players missing Pochettino’s training

Tottenham is currently on a dreadful run of form and their players will understandably be frustrated.

After starting this campaign well and even topping the Premier League table at some point, the Lilywhites have now collected just 12 points from their last 12 games.

With top players like Son Heung-min and Harry Kane, that situation is simply unacceptable for the club and there might an internal issue rumbling on.

The Athletic claims that the club’s players have become bored with Jose Mourinho’s training methods and they wish they were still under the management of Mauricio Pochettino.

The Argentinean made Tottenham a well-drilled side and that helped them qualify for the Champions League consistently.

It says their former manager made them work very hard with double sessions, which they thought was too much at the time but delivered results.

Mourinho has taken a slightly easier approach and the squad doesn’t think they are doing enough to get the results that they want.

It also adds that the team now spends so much time in training trying to master the defensive side of the game.

This leaves their attacking players undertrained in scoring goals and they have been relying on what they learned under Poch.
