Bale is back, albeit in a recuperative capacity as the boy hasn’t played football at any meaningful level for weeks on end. Right now the 31-year-old is cautiously edging his way back to match fitness. Now this may make me sound like a sentimental old fool, but the addition of Bale has added an extra spark of joy to the club. I can’t recall a time when the players seemed to be in such good humour. Is something special happening?
