Video Evidence: Illegal Red Star Fans Loud n’ Proud At Tottenham Stadium

As BBC Sport reports, Tottenham Hotspur have launched an investigation into how a group of Red Star Belgrade fans were able to enter the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for last night’s Champions League match.

Red Star fans had been banned from buying tickets after being charged for racist behaviour at a qualifying game against Finland’s HJK Helsinki in July.

Despite being there illegally, the below videos show the travelling Serbians – BBC Sport estimates 200 – had no intention of keeping a low profile as they sung their hearts out metres from Spurs fans in the home end.

A Spurs spokesperson is quoted by BBC Sport as saying: “Red Star supporters illegally obtained individual tickets on Level 5 and made their way around to one section of the stadium in order to congregate as a group.

“Stewards and police contained the group as it was too large a number to eject.
“We have launched a full investigation in order to understand how tickets have been acquired and shall take the strongest possible action against any individual found to have sold their ticket on.”

The Red Star contingent may not have been singing for long as Spurs rose from their slump to run out commanding 5-0 winners, with two apiece for Son Heung-min and Harry Kane, and Erik Lamela completing the rout.
