Tottenham Hotspur Deny Latest Pochettino Rumours

There was a frisson of muffled hysteria this weekend surrounding the future of Spurs gaffer Mauricio Pochettino. This might neatly explain the movement in the Next Permanent Tottenham Manager market.

While smart phones were a buzzin’ with tales of terror, “the truth” was that THFC was somewhat a less animated scene than was being rumoured.

Highly respected journalist Alasdair Gold has run an editorial piece which was clearly spoon-fed to him by the club.

After all this 100% inside info, indeed Mr Gold tells us, “…those who were most bewildered by it all seem to be those inside Tottenham Hotspur.”

Opinion: What’s concerns me here is, are that fans are supposed to draw succour from knowing that Poch and Levy’s offices are still geographically close to each other at Hotspur Way?

The pressure of the Premier League malaise will be grave and constant and it frankly beggars belief that the mood at Spurs would be in any manner less pressured. Let alone, “chilled”.

Our situation is merely on hold.

However, what’s worse is the suggestion that the January window will somehow act as a panacea.

Who might even vaguely believe this?

The issues with player contracts and the squad etc right now is complex and requires a nuanced, series of solutions.

January transfer windows across the board are generally muted affairs for most top flight sides, and Tottenham have solid for neither buying nor selling prolifically in the new year.
