Clubs to meet in the next few weeks to discuss possible summer transfer; Tottenham hold a trump card

Tottenham are preparing for the upcoming transfer window, with intentions to strengthen the squad across multiple positions.

Of particular focus for Spurs is the signing of a forward, with the club showing keen interest in several potential targets.

Among the names linked with a move is Genoa attacker Albert Gudmundsson, as confirmed by reputable journalist Ben Jacobs, who recently claimed that Spurs stand as a significant contender to sign him among the Premier League clubs.

The 26-year-old has enjoyed a stellar season with Serie A side Genoa, playing a pivotal role in their campaign.

The forward has netted an impressive 16 goals and provided 4 assists in 34 appearances across all competitions, showcasing his goal-scoring prowess and versatility in the attacking third.

Nevertheless, the North London club isn’t the sole suitor vying for the Icelandic striker’s services.
Multiple Premier League clubs, including Manchester United and Aston Villa, are monitoring the player’s progress.

Simultaneously, Italian giants such as Juventus, Inter, and AC Milan are also showing interest and would be eager to secure someone of Gudmundsson’s quality, given his demonstrated quality in Serie A.

However, according to Rudy Galetti’s exclusive for TeamTalk, Tottenham hold a trump card that could potentially give them an advantage over other interested parties.

Genoa and Tottenham are said to have a good relationship, given their recent business dealings, which saw Spurs sign Radu Dragusin in the January transfer window and Djed Spence go to Genoa on loan.

It is also reported that the two clubs are set to meet in the next few weeks to discuss the possible permanent transfer of Spence.

Those talks could also serve as a ground for Tottenham to ‘test the waters’ for a move for the Icelandic.
