Tottenham are still a massive attraction to players but only on one condition it seems

Watching Amazon’s All or nothing and reading multiple media pieces it is clear that Tottenham remains a huge attraction to players.

Jose Mourinho still has that pull with players, on the All or Nothing series we heard a good few times players talking about playing under Mourinho including the very disgruntled Danny Rose.

The stadium is epic and so are the training facilities and the squad as a whole, when it plays to its true ability is a top-four side at a minimum. Remember just over a year ago Spurs was Champion League finalists.

However, we constantly read that some players, Arkadiusz Milik for example, will not sign for Tottenham to be just a back up to Harry Kane and therein lies the problem with Tottenham attracting new acquisitions.

The squad is full of talented players, well, for the most part, and no incoming player can be guaranteed first-team football and that is what players want these days.

They will have no doubt seen what has happened to Tanguy Ndombele and will possibly be thinking to themselves that if the club’s record signing cannot get a first-team spot what chance has anyone else.

Look at the recent new signings apart from Ndomebele, Ryan Sessegnon, Steven Bergwijn, Giovani Lo Celso, none of them is assured of a starting berth.

Matt Doherty and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg have just signed but I think we all know that even they are not certain starters, it would be no surprise to see either of them dropped for the game against Southampton.

Tottenham does remain a huge attraction for players but they want to play football and the structure of the team right now simply does not guarantee that and therefore it should not be a big surprise that the club is struggling to land some of their targets.
