Spurs Player To Quit This Summer, But Why?

Spanish outlet abc.es believe that Gareth Bale has flown back to Spain to negotiate his way off Real Madrid’s books and make himself a free man. This may shock some Spurs fans, as again this would be further proof that slavery has been abolished and players are allowed to exercise free will. I await some footballing guru to give their ‘yeah but’ explanation, however, this is the way the world works.

Bale said after the Leicester City match that he knew where he was going, but if he told anyone, it would cause chaos. This naturally sparked a tonne of speculation, but this Spanish source believes that the 31-year-old’s next destination is likely to be ‘the golf courses of the world’.

This is an interesting plot twist, as one might have imagined that Daniel Levy would be keen to give returning fans a welcome morale boost.

What is curious, is that if Gareth is able and indeed willing to extricate himself from the clutches of Real, that what is stopping him from doing his own deal with Daniel?

I take a view that he has simply given up on the game, and this was most likely something that didn’t happen this week…
