Spurs looking to replace Carlos Vinicius with £15m-rated Bundesliga man

Spurs are lining up a move for Stuttgart striker, Sasa Kalajdzic as a replacement for Carlos Vinicius, according to Mail Sport.

Spurs signed Vinicius in the summer to act as a backup to Harry Kane and they have the option of making the move permanent for a fee.

However, the Benfica loanee hasn’t been a huge success and he is set to return to the Portuguese side when the transfer window reopens.

The Lilywhites face a big summer with Kane linked with moves to several top European teams.

According to the report, they do remain confident of keeping Kane and want Kalajdzic to become a backup to him next season.

The tall Austrian has been one of the best strikers in Germany this season and has 15 goals from 30 competitive games.

The 23-year-old is also attracting the attention of other European teams with the report also claiming that Borussia Dortmund wants to sign him.

Spurs haven’t seen the best of Vinicius and the report says they expect Kalajdzic to perform better than the Brazilian.

If Kane does end up leaving, they might consider signing another top striker alongside the Austrian.
