Source Close To Club: Academy Breakthrough Offered Fascinating Premier League Loan Deal

Oliver Skipp is a very solid young apprentice, one I am advised that quietly goes about his business, paying his dues, hoovering up all the knowledge he can, in the upside-down world of England’s top flight football.

Loan moves for Skipp have been mooted in the recent past, but Tottenham Hotspur Football Club know as well as a good few of us, that most of these deals are pretty much the sign of the club having run out of ideas about how to progress a player.

The good news is that Spurs do not see a player they particularly want to move on, but Jose and his coaching staff just feel that he needs that extra bite. The bite that only regular first team experience will provide in order that the 19-year-old will develop his character as a player.

A source close to the club tells me that Scott Parker is keen to bring Skipp to newly his promoted Fulham. The story doing the rounds about Ryan Sessegnon’s possible return to Craven Cottage is true, but I am told that particular boy has left Mourinho’s team struggling to know where to play him, in the current squad.

I’m not alone in wanting to see more of Skipp and a spell at Fulham would let that happen.
