Report – Tottenham stalwart in discussions with two Serie A clubs

Tottenham will almost certainly need to sell players in the summer in order to fund new acquisitions and one player that is considered likely to be moved on is Erik Lamela.

Area Napoli journalist Alfredo Pedulla is claiming that Napoli has opened up talks with the 29-year-old over a move back to Serie A.

Teamtalk, who have cited the same report, is also claiming that AC Milan is also in discussions with the Argentinean.

It seems that Lamela and his wife are keen on leaving England in the summer and that both of them are keen on moving back to Italy.

Lamela joined Spurs back in 2013 after impressing with Roma and has featured in 254 games but he has lacked consistency and can be bracketed as a frustrating player.

On occasions, Lamela is capable of sheer brilliance as he proved recently against Arsenal with a beautifully executed rabona but too often he has flattered to deceive.

He is not a first-team regular and more often comes off the bench and while he will not raise a huge transfer fee, he could bring in roughly £10 million, though with just over a year left on his contract Daniel Levy may have to settle for less.
