Report: Tottenham has reached a verbal agreement for Juventus winger Dejan Kulusevski

Tottenham Hotspur appears to be adding a player to their forward group and a name they’ve been linked to for quite some time. According to transfer window specialist Gianluca Di Marzio, Tottenham is closing on a deal for Dejan Kulusevski.

Di Marzio states that there’s a verbal agreement in place with Juventus. It will include a loan plus buy clause that becomes mandatory in case of a UEFA Champions League qualification or a certain number of appearances that Kulusevski reaches.

Should Tottenham qualify for the Champions League or Kulusevski hit a specific number of appearances to trigger the obligation clause, Spurs would have to pay €35-million with add ons on top of the €5-million loan fee.

Furthermore, transfer window journalist Fabrizio Romano adds that Kulusevski will sign a five-year contract with the north London club if the obligation clause is triggered.

This season, Kulusevski has made 27 appearances scoring two goals and registering three assists for Juventus. The 21-year-old hopes that a more significant role in Tottenham can see his production.
