Report: Spurs To Battle Chelsea for £10m-Rated Bargain

Tottenham Hotspur are one of a host of Premier League clubs who are showing an interest in Metz striker Habib Diallo, according to TEAMtalk.

The exclusive report understands that Chelsea are our strongest competition for the 24-year-old and that Norwich and Watford have also had him scouted this season. High-flying Leicester City and Newcastle United have also previously been linked with the Senegal international.

Diallo has accumulated 65 goals in 177 career appearances in France and has taken his game to the next level in recent years, with 26 goals last season and eight in 12 starts since Metz’s return to Ligue 1 this term.

Considering his pedigree and age, the £10m that TEAMtalk understands would tempt Metz into selling would be a bargain in this market.

We have had to make do without any decent support for Harry Kane for far too long. The Vincent Janssen experiment was a disaster and Fernando Llorente was too different an option to be trusted to start matches.

It seems that Spurs are now taking our striker search more seriously as The Mirror reports we have scouted Lyon’s Memphis Depay and Moussa Dembele.
