Tottenham Hotspur is close to completing a double swoop of Juvetus’ Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur.
However, after failing to secure some transfers, the north London club won’t be striking out with only hours left until the January window closes.
Sky Sports reports that Bentancur did his Tottenham medical remotely from Uruguay. The player is currently preparing to face Venezuela with his national team on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Kulusevski is flying into the UK to do a medical at Hotspur Way.
The north London club reached an agreement for Bentancur for €19-million plus another €6-million in add-ons and bonuses. As for Kulusevski, Tottenham paid a loan fee of €5-million with an obligation to buy for a further €35-million.
Managing Director of Football Fabio Paratici brings in two players that he’s familiar with during his time with Juventus. After that, it will be up to manager Antonio Conte to integrate the two into his squad and get them up to date on what he’s trying to accomplish this season.
