Mourinho backed to finally complete his team with this January transfer

Tottenham enjoyed one of the most productive transfer windows by any team in the summer and it has shown in their performances so far.

The Lilywhites have been top of the Premier League over the last three-match weeks and they have also reached the quarterfinals of the Carabao Cup.

The Europa League is another competition that they are currently doing well in and it looks highly likely that they will end this campaign with some form of silverware.

Teams who win titles have the best players as well as replacements, and that is why Tottenham has been tipped to add another quality player to their team in the next transfer window.

Spurs signed Joe Rodon in the last transfer window and the Welshman has done well after getting his chance recently.

Following the recent injury to Toby Alderweireld, Rodon stepped in and was paired with Eric Dier. However, Paul Robinson thinks that he is very young and he has tipped Spurs to sign another defender in January.

He claims that the Lilywhites will look to strengthen their centre back position in the new year and he reckons they will return for Milan Skriniar.

When asked by Football Insider if Jose Mourinho was in need of another centre-half, Robinson said: “Joe Rodon has done excellently well since he came in.

“It was a vital signing before the deadline but I still think Mourinho will strengthen in that area next year.

“Rodon is still young, so is Japhet Tanganga and Davinson Sanchez has been frozen out. I think it is an area they will look at.

“Of course they have very strong options when you consider Alderweireld and Eric Dier as well but there is no harm in signing one more.

“Wow… A player that is of the level of Milan Skriniar would be a welcome addition.”
