Lo Celso to be unavailable to Spurs for the whole of this month

Tottenham have been dealt an injury blow as they look to kick on in this second half of the season.

The Lilywhites beat Leeds the last time out to return to form after a run of winless games.

If they are serious about challenging for the league title, then this month will be an important one for them and they will want as strong a squad as they can muster going forward.

The club has had to deal with covid breaches from some of their players recently, and Giovani Lo Celso was one of those players.

The Argentinean will have angered Jose Mourinho after he was caught flouting covid rules alongside Erik Lamela and Sergio Reguilon.

However, even more frustrating is the fact that he is set to be on the sidelines for the rest of this month.

Standard Sports was giving an update on the fitness situation of Tottenham players and it claimed that the former PSG midfielder is set to miss the rest of January with a hamstring problem.

He joins Gareth Bale on the sidelines as Spurs attempts to beat Brentford in the Carabao Cup semifinal later this week.

Le Celso will be hoping that he can get back in the team when he returns from this setback.
