Jose Mourinho favourite to be sacked and Man City the favs to sign Harry Kane

After a bad performance by Tottenham, there is always an overreaction from the bookies, well, punters seeing as it is their money that determines the market.

For the last few weeks, Steve Bruce has been the favourite to be the next manager to leave his club, however, his Newcastle side won over the weekend and he is no longer at the head of the market, that is now Mourinho.

The Portuguese is now as low as 3/1 to be jettisoned next and Bruce is as high as 5/1. The next manager in the betting is Crystal Palace’s Roy Hodgson followed by Scott Parker of Fulham.

The future of Harry Kane is likely to dominate the gossip pages all summer, which is to be expected considering how poor Spurs have been this season and the likelihood that Champions League football will not be played at the Tottenham stadium next season.

Man City are the favourites to sign the England captain, they are now 5/2 according to the bookies with their bitter local rivals Man Utd, 5/1.

Next in the market is PSG at 7/1 and Real Madrid on 8’s.

So, if the bookies are right, then Kane is set to replace Sergio Aguero next season and Tottenham will be looking for a new manager before any other Premier League club.
