‘…it’s certainly true’ – Fabrizio Romano provides Harry Kane update amidst links with Bayern

Bayern Munich have expressed their interest in Harry Kane publicly over the last few weeks with their CEO and manager both proclaiming their interest in the striker.

Ever since their public declaration, there have been a number of reports linking the Englishman with a move to Bayern this summer which has become a concern for Tottenham fans. Harry Kane has been in fine form under Conte and is seemingly happy with the current set-up at Spurs but strong interest from a club like Bayern could change that.

However, Fabrizio Romano has given a positive update on Harry Kane’s future. He insists that there is no chance Harry Kane will be leaving Spurs this summer and that the club will be opening talks over a new contract in the coming months. He told CaughtOffside:

“A lot has been said about Harry Kane and Bayern Munich, and it’s certainly true that Bayern are in love with Harry Kane.

“Julian Nagelsmann and the board consider him one of the few strikers ready to guarantee as many goals as Robert Lewandowski.

“However, this is not even a topic or a negotiation right now. Tottenham will not be negotiating for Kane this summer and there has never been any chance.

“Harry is untouchable and will play for Tottenham. The club’s idea is to negotiate a new contract in the coming months.

“Tottenham look like a completely different club now thanks to Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici; the work of both is also helping Kane who is 100% happy with the Spurs project.”

It’s vital for Spurs to keep hold of Harry Kane who is on the peak of his career at the moment for as long as possible.  He’ll be an integral part of the team Antonio Conte is building as they hope to compete for silverware this season.
