‘Is he going to want to do that pressing that Pep is going to demand?’ Pundit questions Kane to Man City viability

Gabby Agbonlahor has cast doubt over Harry Kane’s suitability to Manchester City as reports link him with a move to the Etihad.

Kane has remained one of the top strikers in the world and he has been the driving force behind Tottenham.

The team relies on him for goals and assists, but they are still not enough to get him trophies.

If he cannot achieve that in North London, then he may want to join a team more likely to win trophies.

Man City is one team that wants him and they have the money to pay whatever Tottenham demand to sign him.

The Citizens will likely allow Sergio Aguero to leave them this summer and Kane is one striker that would replace him perfectly.

Agbonlahor, however, thinks the England captain will struggle to play for Pep, claiming that he cannot press and he shoots on sight, which is against City’s style of play.

Speaking to Talksport, former Aston Villa and England forward Agbonlahor said: ‘I think he could do it [make it at City] but is he able to do the pressing part? We’ve seen Gabriel Jesus, he doesn’t stop.

‘You look at Harry Kane, he’s a fantastic goalscorer but is he going to want to do that pressing that Pep is going to demand?’
