Important Tottenham man set to miss two games in injury blow

Tottenham will be without Toby Alderweireld for their next two games after he pulled up injured against Manchester City at the weekend.

The Belgian had a fine game before his injury towards the end of the game and the club will miss him.

He was replaced in that game by Joe Rodon who will likely get some game time now that the former Ajax man is out of the way.

Standard Sports claims that Tottenham is hopeful that his injury isn’t as serious as they fear that it could have been.

It claims that the defender is set to miss the club’s next two games against Ludogorets in the Europa League and Chelsea in the Premier League at the weekend.

He has had a scan on the problem, but the scan came back inconclusive and the club is now hoping that it doesn’t turn out to be a serious injury.

They have Rodon to call on, but the Welsh defender wasn’t registered for the Europa League as he joined the team after squads have been submitted.

Japhet Tanganga now stands a chance to start the club’s next games, but Rodon might be given his Premier League debut against Chelsea at the weekend.
