“He was up and down, hitting every mark” Reporter impressed with this underfire Tottenham player

Alasdair Gold has revealed that Tanguy Ndombele was one of the fastest among Tottenham’s players during their warm-down session after the Leeds United match.

The Frenchman had been on the bench in the game, and as is customary under Antonio Conte, he and other players who weren’t involved in the 2-1 win partook in fitness drills after the fixture.

This is an important time in Ndombele’s career after he flopped under Jose Mourinho and Nuno Espirito Santo.

It seems he knows he has to impress Conte and Gold says he did well during the warm-down session.

“We watched him (Ndombele) after the game when they were putting them through their paces with what they do now, the fitness drills for those who didn’t play and he was among the fastest. He was up and down, hitting every mark on the reactions tests, twisting, turning, speeding and sprinting and all of that,” Gold said on the Gold & Guest Talk Tottenham Podcast.

The Boy Hotspur Says

Ndombele probably already understands that it will take hard work to impress Conte.

The midfielder has the talents to succeed, but he doesn’t put enough pressure on himself to contribute to the team.

Under Conte, he will either change that attitude or forget about playing a part in the Italian’s success at the club.

Hopefully, he will work hard enough to get back in the starting XI soon because he is one of the players we love to watch.
