‘Don’t be surprised’ – Sky Sports Journalist says Spurs could yet go for £40M+ man

Tottenham Hotspur has been one of the more active clubs this summer, adding various players to fill needs on the squad. One of the additions was to the midfield with the arrival of Yves Bissouma, but one journalist states that Youri Tielemans could be another addition to the group.

In an interview with Tottenham Fan Chris Cowlin, Sky Sports journalist Michael Bridge states that Spurs could take another look at the Leicester City midfielder later in the summer transfer window.

Despite the names connected to Tielemans, Bridge would not rule out Spurs revisiting their interest further down the line if he is still available on the market. The possible addition of the 25-year-old would give manager Antonio Conte plenty of options in the midfield.

“I know that in the past, they liked Youri Tielemans, and I know there was talk about going to Arsenal, but don’t be surprised if they have another look at him later in the window down the line,” Bridge said

Leicester City will likely sell the Belgium international this window with only one year left on his deal. The Foxes want to recoup a fee for Tielemans – who joined the Foxes for a reported £40million fee – and is now linked to various clubs.
