“Doesn’t look like he wants to be there still” – Rio Ferdinand wonders if Antonio Conte will decide to sell Harry Kane

If reports are accurate, Tottenham Hotspur plans to spend a significant amount of money improving their squad. However, if the north London-based club wants to offset any purchases they’ll make on this spending spree, they have a bargaining chip in Harry Kane.

Kane is reportedly happy with the hiring of Antonio Conte. Still, BT Sport pundit and former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand stated on the “Vibe with FIVE” that the England international continues to look unhappy with Spurs.

“One of the hardest and biggest jobs is deciding what he is going to do with Harry Kane. Kane doesn’t look like he wants to be there still. Can they get a deal done with Man City? To get him out there, maybe in the summer or this next window,” Ferdinand said.

Conte will have the challenging task of turning Kane’s season around as the Tottenham striker only has one goal in nine Premier League matches.

However, Ferdinand believes that if Kane continues to look unhappy, Conte will go to Managing Director of Football Fabio Paratici and chairman Daniel Levy and state he doesn’t have to deal with the issue.

“Conte might have come in there and said, ‘Listen, I don’t want to have to deal with this. I can see the way Harry’s playing; he doesn’t look happy still’,” Ferdinand said.

Conte will have the remainder of the season to see whether Kane is a player he decides to keep long-term.
